Biography

Lavonne is an award winning artist who has earned Copley Artist and Rhode Island Watercolor Society signatures and now has joined the Central Ohio Watercolor Society. Her work is in corporate and private collections around the world.
Lavonne graduated with a degree in fine art from Emmanuel College in Boston and received a master’s degree with a watercolor focus from Clark University.  As an art teacher who has taught all levels and ages from children to adults she gives watercolor workshops.  She is a teacher at heart.  Beginners learn from her clear teaching style and experienced painters enjoy the freedom of her expression and a strong focus on composition.  Enthusiasm is a key work to describe Lavonne and her teaching style. The Boston Globe has described her as "pouring passion into painting."
She is on a quest to bring the joy of painting to others.  It was with the goal of making watercolor painting and its techniques available to everyone that Lavonne has created the Cable TV program TIME FOR PAINTING which can be watched on the demo link above.  The show was designed to encourage the beginner and add skills to the accomplished artist.
